Update - We have not received any further updates from Comcast / Xfinity at this time. We’ve worked with our colocation provider, who has implemented changes to route traffic away from the problematic link. These changes will hopefully direct traffic away from the link until Comcast / Xfinity can add additional capacity on their backbone links. These changes may take some time to be realized but testing from some of our Comcast / Xfinity links seems to be positive.

Update - The routing issue remains escalated with Comcast / Xfinity. We are awaiting further updates from them, as this is a matter that can only be addressed on their network. During this time, Comcast and Xfinity customers may experience degraded performance and possible dropped connections while accessing our hosted systems.

Monitoring - There is a problem with Routing for Comcast/Xfinity customers affecting access to resources in the datacenter.
We have a Datacenter Ticket open with Comcast/Xfinity and are waiting for a resolution from Comcast/Xfinity. All datacenter resources remain online and accessible with intermittent delays while Comcast/Xfinity resolves service problems for their customers.

Monitoring - In case you have not seen the media coverage concerning this issue or are curious how the blyCloud team is responding, we would like to make you aware of the situation and how we are mitigating. A security advisory has been released warning of a Zero Day exploit, the Apache LOG4j 2 (CVE-2021-44228) vulnerability, that impacts all software applications and devices (servers, network switches, etc.) running Java-based software, collectively referred to as “products”. The vulnerability can potentially allow execution of malicious code remotely that can result in taking control of the affected products.

You can view the security notice from the Apache Software Foundation here: https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/security.html

The blyCloud team has been working through the weekend and is continuing to evaluate potentially affected products and taking corrective action while we await updates from our vendors. We will continue to provide you with updates as we receive them, promptly evaluate any fixes or workarounds released, and will contact you to address any of your systems affected by the vulnerability.

If you have any questions, please contact us at Support@blycloud.com

Thank you,
